The only thing I feel bothered by is how the reason for being in a relationship may alter. Getting a boyfriend or a girlfriend means that you fall in love with somebody and you want to be with them and not for any other reason (including it being a New Years resolution). Or at least, that’s my perspective of it.

For example, just imagine someone makes this his or her New Year’s resolution. Then this person meets someone he or she likes but not loves. It’s the last day of the year, and this person is sort of ready to be in a relationship with this person, but at the same time, wants more time before it happens because he or she doesn’t feel 100% comfortable or could trust this person. In that case, what should the person really do? Just get together with that person all because it’s his or her resolution, or should he or she wait until he or she is ready?

I’m not exactly telling people not to do it, and honestly, I’m not against people who do it if it seems that way. It’s more like if people do have this as a resolution, I hope they’re more careful on who they get together with. No one should feel pressured by a resolution to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend; it should just happen naturally.

So if that’s your New Year’s resolution, my only advice is to make sure that having that partner was through naturally being in love- not because you’re trying to fulfill a goal you set up in the beginning of the year or even just a mix of it.

However, this post isn’t exactly about the sweater. It’s actually about the size of the sweater.

As most of you may not know, my boyfriend is 20 years old, but he’s 4’11″ tall, which makes him a pretty small guy. Since his small-sized clothes usually look big on him, I can assume he’s an x-small for adult men’s size or maybe even smaller.

Anyways, my boyfriend would sometimes vent a little about how most small adult sizes never fit him, which is why he doesn’t have a lot of clothes. He also tells me how he sometimes has to shop for clothes in the little boy’s section for clothing. Also, when people give him clothing, they usually give him a small adult size, which usually turns out to be too big for him.

When my boyfriend opened my mother’s Christmas present, it looked really nice, but I was a bit unsure about it. The size of the sweater was a “medium,” which is way too big for my boyfriend. But, of course, my boyfriend said it’s OK.

Yesterday, my boyfriend decided to try on the sweater. By surprise, he said that it fits perfectly on him. Honestly, I didn’t believe him at first until I saw him wear the sweater myself. It looked nice on him, and the fit was perfect.

Anyways, I did not really check where the sweater was from, but my boyfriend suspects it’s from a little boy’s section of a clothing store and not the adult’s, because a medium adult size will look too big on my boyfriend. Of all honesty though, the sweater looks like it’s from the adult men’s section of a clothing store and not the young boy’s, but likely it’s from the young boy’s section since it fits perfectly on my boyfriend.

So you know … my mom could have just made life easier for her and bought a a small adult size for my boyfriend instead (because after all, he’s an adult right? haha), but instead, she bought a medium size from the kid’s section, and she still managed to find a sweater that will make people think he got it from the adult men’s section. It’s just a thought.

I underestimated my mom.

Anyways, despite my boyfriend getting me a 3DS (which I exchanged later on for a PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK 3DS) and my best friend getting me a cute little mameshiba plushie (luls), I also got to drink for the very first time. I’m not really a drinker…

Honestly, all I wanted to do for my birthday was to drink alcohol, preferably wine, with my parents, sister, and my boyfriend (and whoever wants to join) and not have a party. And, I got to do that. :) I wanted to go out to a bar with close friends, but all of my close friends are under 21. :( So, everything else was pretty much planned out by my sister just ’cause I think she was bored that day and wanted to do something. lol. So, I guess in a way, I did have a party, but it was more of inviting some friends over, and I guess we had a mini LAN party, which was fun-not really a drinking party. haha. However, at night was when I had my first shot, which was pretty interesting and somewhat nice. haha.

Well since the day was somewhat not planned, we just played with whatever was available in my house…which was an N64. LOL. But yeah, I don’t want to go too much in detail, but we pretty much turned Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Pokemon Stadium into a drinking game…which was pretty funny. “Clefairy Says” was REALLY hard BTW…….. …. ….

That was pretty much my 21st birthday. It’s not too much but I guess it’s good I did something. I kind of regret letting finals get in the way of me not wanting to celebrate my 21st. Really though, I don’t expect myself drinking too much in the future. It’s just me being a health-freak.

The first class I had was a voice class for music. To give a little background of myself, I have a huge passion for music and I’ve been practicing with music on my own ever since I was exposed to music theory and all that technical stuff. I thought it would be fun to try out a singing class and maybe improve. :) I actually do not regret taking this class at all. However, as much as I love music, I surprisingly did not enjoy this class too much, but I did get stuff out of it. That kind of explains why I’m do not imagine myself being a music major.

Second, I had a somewhat-stressful journalism class. Obvious, I love writing (heck I’m writing this blog!) but this class made me want to stay away from the journalism side of writing. I’m more of a self-writer. But then again, it was probably the class I took, which was a news writing class. It was an easy class to be honest, but I felt that the writing was the only thing that kept me entertained and not the subject itself.

So, I took a catering class too. I actually was pretty disappointed with this class. Don’t get me wrong though, it was a FUN class because we all got to cook. However, it felt more like a cooking class than actually catering. One of my dream jobs is to become a wedding planner, and to me, knowing how to cater/manage layouts of dishes, etc would be very helpful for that. Unfortunately, the farthest I learned in this class is just to decorate, and that’s it. I felt I did not learn how to decorate venues to look nice. Although, at least every late Wednesday, I got free food from this class. :)

And, last but not least, there’s my online class. To be honest, I ONLY signed up for this class because I saw on RMP that the class designs websites, which is something I used to love doing. But wow, I did not expect to actually try out WoW (pun intended hehe) for the first time and this other MMO. Well, we never used WoW in the end, but I still logged onto it anyways, and it’s still on my computer. haha. I also had no idea that this class would talk about some video games, but it did, which was pretty cool. :) I’m happy I took this class though, and now I have something to reminisce about this class. :P (my final project was a plushie of yes, TheOddCleric/Riza) :D Maybe I’ll post a picture of her laterr. I was actually really interested in most of the concepts we learned in class also.

Anyways, despite it being an online class, it was actually my favorite class this semester. My second favorite was journalism, and catering and music turned out alright.

Oh, and my writing style somewhat changed because of that journalism class. haha!

Actually, another reason why I haven’t been blogging is because I’ve been busy with classes and such. I’m currently taking a Journalism class that requires a large amount of writing. I can’t say that I am starting to hate writing, but I will admit that because I write a lot in my Journalism class, I want to sort of take a break from writing outside of class unless I feel very motivated too. I do have a lot of free time, and I hope overtime I can think of something interesting.

I actually do have a lot of topics in mind to talk about, and I have started drafts about them. However, I feel that I reach to one point, then all of a sudden, I’m like, “Crap, this post looks like a mess.” So, pretty much I write something. Like it. Take a break. And then, I realize that my post sucks and I delete it out of impulse.

Anyways, I guess you can say that this post is me ranting about writer’s block. I have been asked to write more about my life story, and I’m trying to get there. Problem is, I don’t know when I’m ready to tell about my story … or at least in an interesting way.

I think writer’s block is is unexplainable. I can’t figure it out. I say it’s unexplainable because of of these few months of blogging, there have probably been hundreds of interesting topics I could have blogged about, but I never wrote about any of them!

Don’t expect another blog in the next few days, or weeks, or months. I do not think anyone even reads my blog so why should I care? Although, the reason why I like blogging even though no one reads it is because I actually do have a passion for writing- but in the typing way. I dislike writing by hand because my hand easily gets so tired from me writing too fast.

From writing that previous paragraph, I actually might have a new topic for a blog. I bet after publishing this post, I’m going to regret it later because of the lack of proof-reading… Plus, all of this writing is by impulse. I might delete this post later ’cause I might feel embarassed about it. Hah!

For instance, I admit Justin Bieber isn’t that great, but I don’t listen to his music either so I wouldn’t know everything, or at least I only listened to portions of his music. But, I could also say the same for some people who dislike him. I could be wrong, but I haven’t heard any major scandals about him either, or at least not as big as the ones I hear at Disney.

The most common reason I hear why people don’t like Bieber is this same response: “Justin Bieber is crap compared to [insert really good musician here].”

Just think about it though. The only one who is comparing between an obviously good musician versus a musician that may not be that great is the person making that claim– it’s a perspective. I highly doubt Justin Bieber is trying to become better than “The Beatles,” “Elton John,” or any other “oldie” musician. Hands down for those two musicians by the way, but I don’t understand why an artist that just started out a few years ago is being compared to these two, who have been probably singing their whole life.

Call me ignorant about Justin Bieber, because I do feel I haven’t done enough research to write about him, but I could say the same for most of the haters who talk about him, or at least the ones I seen or met.

I once asked a Bieber hater why he doesn’t like him. His reasoning was, “Because he’s so famous and he totally sucks.” I didn’t say anything back, but I was pretty surprised by that comment. First of all, it’s really vague to say that. Yes he’s famous but what does he exactly suck at? Singing? I can’t agree that he sucks at singing, or at least, it’s hard for me to believe that after looking at his first YouTube channel. Yes, I’m talking about the one he had way before he became famous. He’s a pretty good singer if you ask me, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he improved overtime.

People say they don’t like him because he’s “auto-tuned.” Personally, I don’t like auto-tune, but I don’t see anything bad about using it. People say it’s “cheating,” but I really have no problem about that because all that could be justified when the artist sings live. I think it’s more reasonable to judge an artist if you hear them sing live rather than hearing them in recordings. If the artist is really good at singing live, then I don’t see why people should hate ’cause of “auto-tune.”

As for people who hate because “he doesn’t write his own music,” I hear he did actually. Call me lazy for not doing enough research again to clarify this, but that’s not my main point. Yes, he doesn’t write some of his music, but I also have nothing against this. It’s true that when performing a song, it could be more meaningful if the performer actually wrote the song. But, that’s really the only purpose I see when writing your own music and performing. He obviously loves singing so let him sing even if it means singing songs someone else wrote.

Think of it the other way around too; the lyricist could suck at singing for all I know, but he or she may still want their lyrics to be sung. In this case, they get singers, such as Bieber to sing it. Jim Brickman writes good songs (not saying Brickman is a bad singer), but he has other people perform it (ie. My Valentine sung by Martina McBride). I apologize for the awkwardness, but what if Jim Brickman asked Bieber to perform one of his compositions? I know people will rat out on Bieber for sure. If they do, then they might as well rat out on Martina McBride who performed for Jim Brickman, but I haven’t seen anyone doing that. Whether it be her or Bieber, I’m not against them performing or covering another person’s song. They’re both good singers regardless.

Then there’s the fan-base. Ever wonder why Bieber is so famous? Well, consider the amount of haters and fans he has. All you have to do is add all those up, and that’s how famous he becomes. Look at Rebecca Black– she obviously has tons of haters but she’s very famous because people keep talking about her. You also have to consider FaceBook, where anything is prone to being spread. So, people who are jealous or don’t understand why he’s so famous, that’s your answer. Aside from advertisement, he has enough fans and haters to make him famous. Fans or haters talking to others who are neutral or do not know much about Bieber is what is increasing his fame. Every time Bieber is introduced to a new person either from a bad or good talk, he or she will either become a hater, fan, or stay neutral.

My opinion on Justin Bieber? I’m neutral about him, and it’s leaning towards the “he’s okay” side. I don’t call myself a fan though. Let’s just say at the same time, I haven’t seen any good reason to dislike him (or at least yet..), so I don’t dislike him. I’m just trying to be reasonable.

Anyways, the only artists I would dislike are the ones who go to the music industry just for means of being famous rather than being appreciative of their talent. Self-entitlement is bad, but as long as self-entitlement doesn’t overpower an artist too much, I will always approve.

I hope I turned some opinions around. If not, that’s just fine for me also.

I have numerous other ideas for plushies to sew in the future. I may post my creations on my WordPress or on my crafting blog I made recently.

Anyways, since I should probably come up with a title for my little “business” soon, maybe I should consider making this or something similar for my mascot. What do you think?

I assume we have all been there at some point. In general, no one likes getting into fights, especially with people we love. Fighting in relationships can cause stress and anxiety, and may also result in break-ups or even worse, divorces.

To make my personal definition of fighting less vague, it is when people disagree or argue in a way that causes anger. I’m not talking too much in general; that means no physical abuse. It is the simple fight we always have. That being said, what I’m actually focusing on is what is going on during the fight, and how it is dealt.

When we fight, what kind of things do we say back? When I fight with my boyfriend, I admit, I usually say horrible things in the lines of, “You are being a huge jerk,” or, “Why are you making such a big deal about it? Who cares!” And of course, my boyfriend gets angry and we start arguing at each other. However, I think what couples tell each other while fighting could be important to know.

For example, once my boyfriend told me during a fight to “stop being greedy and shallow.” I actually disagreed with what he said. At the same time however, him telling me that did make me reflect. Was I really being “greedy and shallow?” After thinking about it, maybe to him I was, and at some extent, I could actually see where he was coming from with that statement. So yes, just like any other fight, I did learn from the things we told each other. I think couples could relate for other scenarios.

The reason why we fight is because there is a problem that we both want to fix. Unfortunately at times, we want to fix them in ways that are different from the other. In other words, we always think that one way wins while the other loses. However, no matter what happens, even if one or both sides win (“both sides” means they compromised), we hopefully somehow get to learn about the other’s argument or perspective. From knowing an argument outside of your state of thought, you also learn new views and ideas that may not be important to you but may be important for others. That being said, fighting is not only about stress, but it is also about the experience. After all, experience is essential for learning, right?

Fights could lead to break-ups, but it is not the direct cause and effect; it’s the inability for the couple to endure the fighting. When couples fight, they will have to make-up for it eventually, even if it takes a long time. In this case, the the couple did “endure the fighting.” However, if the couple refuses to ever communicate with each other because of that fight, then it is really up to the couple to question if the relationship is worth it or not.

Although fights could be stressful, it could be beneficial for the couple in the long run. The more you fight and still stay together after each fight, the more you not only learn from each other but also know that the relationship has a potential to stay alive, even during bad times.

I’m not necessarily saying that couples need to fight in order to learn about each other or show a potentially strong relationship; I just believe that couples who do fight and somehow still stay together shows that love is their top priority and not the obstacles. There may be other ways to express love being a “top priority,” but I think fighting is one of the natural and important ways of doing it. Although fighting is very unpleasant and can lead to thoughts of breaking up, it can still lead to stronger relationships if the couple is willing to progress through that road together.

We’ve been together for a year. I hope it stays that way even through fights. ^_^

I actually thought of numerous ideas for part-time businesses. The only “successful” one I ever done was making plushies and selling them at anime conventions. Other than that, all of my other ideas were either never executed or completed. My ideas were (and are not limited to) making music boxes, clothing, and cosplaying outfits, and opening up a chair cover rental business. AHH. You probably can figure out yourself why these ideas never worked out.

First of all, I really loved the idea of making custom melodies from music boxes, but the mechanism and making a music box spool was just too tedious for me. Maybe someday, I’ll make one, but just for personal use. hehe.

Next, I was also too lazy to make clothing and cosplaying outfits. The closest I’ll ever make and sell when it comes to cosplays is the sweater that is featured in the third Phoenix Wright game. The thing that is resisting me from sewing those is the fact that I actually made that sweater personally for my boyfriend for his cosplay, AND ONLY FOR HIM! Pretty much, my reason for not making more of those sweaters is that sentimental reason. I don’t want to produce and mass sell them for other people. They can go learn it themselves. hehe.

As for the chair cover rental business, I never done it obviously because the investment is ridiculously expensive for my budget (probably more than $2,000). The reason why I wanted to try it out was because I’m actually interested in weddings and events with nice venues. I do believe chair covers can really enhance the look of a wedding reception or a venue. Anyways, I kind of feel dumb for thinking of this idea because it’s too expensive for me. It would have been nice to have it since it’s actually an interest, but it looks like it’s never going to happen.

Well, I also love music, and I thought of that time I wanted to tune pianos when I was 15 years old. That’s where this idea of piano tuning came from, and maybe turning it into a business. I understand that it’ll probably be very difficult to master this skill but hey, I would think professionals started in the same boat as me. I just think it would be a good idea since I do not really have anything to lose. If it doesn’t make money, at least I probably wont have to hire another person to tune my piano. Yes.
